We live in a chaotic, fast-paced world which demands so much of us. Never in history has a time existed where we are constantly bombarded with so many conflicting ideas and images of who we should be, how we should act and what we should own. Throughout history, what it has meant to be a man or “masculine” has always evolved and changed, so what does it mean to be a man in this modern age and is it conducive to men’s health and happiness? Why is it that women are nearly twice as likely as men to be diagnosed with depression yet men accounted for three-quarters of UK deaths by suicide? In fact, suicide is still the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45. Should we challenge current paradigms and look forward to define a new image of the 21st century man?
Answering the call is a very special experiential event to bring together 100 men of all ages and backgrounds on a shared journey to explore these questions. This isn’t just a discussion, this will be an experience using various modalities to explore new states of mind and body. You will leave with with some new perspectives, actionable ideas and feeling absolutely fantastic.
What to expect:
Nothing brings men together better than a challenge that has to be overcome together. To kick things off N.ICE collective will lead you through a Wim Hof Method breathing exercise before you break through your own limitations of what you think is possible in a guided ice bath experience.
Once you have dried off and had a quick bite to eat, Ben Bidwell, aka The Naked Professor, will facilitate a discussion about what it means to be masculine in the 21st century, how and why it can be deemed toxic and what he’s learnt on his journey exploring it. His deeply authentic and relatable story, has seen him write for The Independent & appear on Sky News, This Morning, Build London, Talk Radio & Heart.
Finally, Richie Bostock (A.K.A The Breath Guy) will guide you through a deeply immersive breathing experience that will quiet that busy mind and bring you into states of flow and bliss that you have perhaps never experienced before. In this altered state of consciousness you will have an opportunity to explore and uncover parts of yourself and experience a deeper level of connection to what is true for you.
Whether you are interested in further developing yourself, wanting to learn and gain new perspectives or just have a completely new experience, this promises to be a very special afternoon with something for everyone.

Unfortunately this event is not suitable for people with epilepsy or with serious pre-existing cardiovascular issues.

In doing so he is leading a revolution encouraging men to open up & connect more with their emotions whilst still retaining their sense of masculinity.

Artur Paulins (N.ICE Collective)
Originally fixated on optimising his mental performance for martial arts competitions, Artur charged into the world of wellness with skepticism and a no-nonsense approach to wellbeing. It was after discovering a noticeable improvement in his anxiety, ability to focus and be present in challenging situations, he began making a daily commitment to breathwork practice.
“It powerfully focused my mind, even in extreme situations,” he says. “It felt like uncovering a secret superpower I always had hidden deep inside me.” Artur is now a notable movement & strength coach, yoga instructor, and is uniquely equipped in the realm of breathwork, having been one of the first Wim Hof instructors (though his repertoire now includes a wealth of accredited/reputable approaches to breath).
Established as an expert in this revolutionary and upcoming sector that is breathwork, Artur has worked with the likes of Lululemon, Charlie Dark, Norwegian Royalty and been featured as part of Dazed Beauty, The BBC and regularly appears at major wellbeing events across the UK.
Martin Petrus (N.ICE Collective)
Martin’s breathwork journey started when he met Wim Hof. This is when he learned how changing breathing patterns can shift the mental state and break through emotional barriers. At the same time he started learning respiratory physiology from the founder of Oxygen Advantage, Patrick McKeown. Now he is connecting the scientific and spiritual by studying Transformational Breath®.
Martin runs regular workshops where he focuses on mindset training using breathwork and cold exposure. He also coaches athletes with modern hypoxic training methods and traditional pranayama techniques.
