Charity Fundraiser Class: Hiit & Flow
Fundraising for WIRES in partnership with All Hearts Global
The Evening will start with a HIIT style workout using only our bodyweight led by health & lifestyle expert James Middleton. We’ll start with a gentle warm-up and dynamic stretching to loosen off any tight areas. We will then progress into the main workout, working our way through a whole range of different exercises and mini circuits which will give you a full body blow out. You’ll want to bring your towel and water bottle for this one!
We’ll then finish with some gentle movements and stretching to bring the heart rate back down, with the wonderful Mandy Jhamat.
James Middleton is a London-based health and lifestyle coach helping people to achieve their fitness goals and live healthier, happier lives. He shares daily tips debunking fitness myths and his direct and honest approach is a breath of fresh air. He grew up playing high level rugby and his dream was to go professional, but now his knowledge and passion for health and fitness inspires thousands to want to live more active lives. His online programme the “JM Movement” has seen thousands follow his workouts, recipes and motivational tips.
James is a firm believer that being healthy and active plays a huge role in contributing positively to all other areas of life from work to relationships and that enjoying the process rather than focusing on the end goal is what will make the results come and last a lifetime.
Mandy Jhamat is a lover of mind-body practices and has explored many forms of yoga, somatic movement, alternative therapies and meditation practices. She teaches an embodied practice that allows her students to benefit from a dynamic practice rooted in the richness of mindful movement. She describes her teaching philosophy as one that explores movement, stillness and awareness – in that order to destress the body, then the mind and move from there into inner balance.
She co-founded her first yoga business in 2013, Yogasphere that kicked off the rooftop yoga trend with the launch of Europe’s highest yoga classes at the top of the Shard. She has taught yoga retreats across the globe and led a resident yoga programme with Shangri La Maldives for over 3 years. She is also the creator of Spectrum which is a wellness programme of yoga and meditation supported by deep colour immersive technology.”
About the Charity
WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same.
WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. WIRES currently has over 2,600 volunteers in 28 NSW branches involved in the rescue and care of wildlife and we have a dedicated Rescue Office that operates 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals in distress.
