Join our artist in residence Monika Kuhne Jorgensen, for an introduction into oil painting. In this three hour workshop you will learn about the supports, grounds, brushes and oil paint itself, after which you are invited to roll up your sleeves and get painting! The workshop takes place in our beautiful art studio and all materials will be provided. Plus there’ll be tea and biscuits for you to enjoy throughout.
No experience is needed and at the end of the session you’ll be able to take your brand new work of art home.
About Monika Kuhne Jorgensen
Monika Kuhne Jorgensen was born and raised in The Netherlands, is of German and British nationality and has lived throughout Europe. Starting out with an MA in Political Theories, she since has pursued training in the arts whenever stationed in London. This year she completed the Masters Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins, UAL.
She combines small everyday narratives with bigger, social subject matter. Her practice revolves around ideas of authenticity, individuality and identity. Even though she works with elaborate sets, more often than not, these are reduced back to 2D imagery (still or moving) and in the process, information is lost and found.
