Monthly Yoga Workshop

If you are used to a sports–injury cycle, it might be time to change up your habits. Using your whole body in your Sports creates power and efficiency. Somatics is a brain to muscle communication method that teaches you to move as a connected whole system. In this workshop we will look to define and refine the subtle movements of the feet, ankles, knees, pelvis and spine to create a more connected moving frame. We will end with a guided meditation where you imagine a more powerful and connected approach to your Sports and allow the learning to download into your bones.
This workshop is for all those who want to improve their Sports be it running, rowing or cycling but also for those who perform the same actions everyday and feel a little stuck and tense. This workshop is accessible to everyone, from beginners onwards, come with an open mind and a willingness to explore. This is an experiential workshop, so please come ready to explore and move.

About Nahid de Belgeonne
Nahid de Belgeonne is a British Wheel of yoga accredited teacher with a passion for sharing the healing benefits of yoga. She has been practising yoga since 2000, her first 200hr yoga course with Simon Low at The Yoga Academy in 2010. She teaches embodied yoga flow, restorative yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and somatic movement, her emphasis is on intelligent movement and finding ease in the body.
She has undertaken intensive yin study with Simon Low, is an advanced Relax and Renew restorative yoga teacher trained by Judith Hanson Lasater. She has taken advanced studies with Gary Carter, John Stirk, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and mindfulness training with Michael Stone. Nahid is also a Somatic movement coach.
